Co-Founders – Scott and Heather Barberine (Dad and Mom)
As Ty’s parents we spent countless hours in the hospital.  We saw what brightened Ty’s day and made him smile.  As his parents the support that we received as well as the small gifts from complete strangers was unremarkable.  We are here to fulfill Ty’s wish and give kids that are hospitalized for long periods something to smile about and give their caretakers a little something to brighten their day. 

Secretary – Roxanne Nelson (Grammie)
Roxanne is married to Jerry (Papa) the two of them played a vital role in Ty’s journey.  They were always there to lend a hand and kept us all well fed.  In her spare time she likes to scrap book, garden and attend the grandkids activities.  She has helped to get the Ty Barberine Foundation established and continues to help out in anyway that she can.

Treasurer – David Schmidt
David(Dave) and his wife Tricia live in Hudson, WI.  Dave has been with us from the beginning.  He was one of the first people that came to visit us and provide much needed support when Ty was initially diagnosed.    He enjoys spending time with his family, playing volleyball and is an avid Minnesota Gophers fan. Dave is a great asset to the Ty Barberine Foundation.

Marketing Specialist - John Soebbing(Grasshopper) ​​.

Grasshopper lives in Hudson, WI.  He was at the hospital the day Ty was born.  He enjoys riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, trap shooting and going to the movies.  Grasshopper is always willing to lend a hand whenever the occasion arises.  He is eager to be a part of the Ty Barberine Foundation.

​Member – Jim, Erin, Kaylie and Abby Nerby
The Nerby’s reside in New Richmond, WI.  Their daughter Abby was a good friend of Ty’s, the two of them were like two peas in a pod.  They were there throughout Ty’s journey always providing support and helping out in any way they could.  They continue to be the first ones to volunteer when help is need for the Ty Barberine Foundation.

​Member – Jeannie Davis
Jeannie lives in Marine on the St Croix.  Jeannie is a retired daycare provider.  She is always willing to help us out whenever she can.  She is an avid scrap booker and also enjoys gardening.  She is excited to be a part of the Ty Barberine Foundation and looks forward to helping our foundation grow.​​​

Member – Jay(Uncle), Heidi(Aunt), Cody(cousin) and Jenna(cousin) Anderson  
The Anderson’s have been with us from the beginning of Ty’s journey, each one of them providing support in their own way.  Cody was always with us for almost all procedures and appointments and spent several nights at the hospital with Ty.  In fact, the staff thought he was Ty’s brother.  They are eager to assist with the Ty Barberine Foundation.​​​

Member - Kurt and Jennifer Koenig

Jennifer also known as "Nippert" has been a friend of Heather's since high school.  She married Kurt on February 25, 2012. Jennifer was there the day that Ty was born and with us the day that Ty passed away.  She is always there to provide support and help out whatever the occasion.  In her spare time Jennifer and Kurt enjoy spending time with family, and anything outdoors. Kurt and Jennifer are looking forward to supporting the Ty Barberine Foundation.
